How does it work?

Banner-Zone Exchange is where members allow advertising banners to be displayed on their Web pages, while their advertising banners will be displayed on other members Web sites. For every banner shown on your site, you earn one credit. For every credit you have, your banner will be shown on the exchange. The programming part is simple, just add the html code that will be supplied to you and simply cut and paste that code into your Web page. Then other members of Banner-Zone Exchange will be able to start showing their banners on your site. We'll provide help and instructions if you need it. You also need to upload your own advertising banner into the system. Once you have uploaded your banner our staff will approve it as quickly as possible. Once your banner is approved it will then be displayed on other members Web sites. This banner will help increase the potential of generating many hits to your Web site.

Why should I Join?

You should join so that you can find customers and build your traffic through FREE advertising on a variety of websites. Most other banner exchange programs allow you to use one banner at a time. We know ads do better if there is a variety, so we allow you multiple banners. When your banner is about to be displayed, our program selects one of your multiple banners at random to be displayed. There is no need to download any special software. Our server handles everything for you. Including real time stats.

What do I need to join?

You have to have a Web site that is up and running. Then you need a 468x60 pixel GIF image (your advertising banner). Now you are ready to join. If you don't have your banner image ready you can still join and allow other banners to be displayed on your site.

What is a banner?

A banner is a 468x60 pixel GIF image. For example see the one at the top of this Web page. If you do not have a banner you can create one using any type of graphical programs. You should place your advertising message on your banner for example "Click here to purchase my products", as well as anything that would set your banner apart from the crowd. Using animation or cool images along with other techniques helps a lot.

What types of banners are accepted?

All banners in the exchange are reviewed by our staff to ensure that they are appropriate for general audiences. We do not accept any advertisements for adult material. Banners and Web sites must not contain nudity, partial nudity, violence, vulgar language, or links to adult sites. Banners cannot imply a link to an adult content site. We have strict company policies on this issue and we deny or cancel member account if we feel they have violated our acceptable use policy

What is a credit?

A credit is earned either by showing one banner on your site or by purchasing credits from Banner-Zone Your credits represents the number of times your banner will be displayed on other members Web pages. 1 credit is worth 1 impression on our banner exchange.

What is an impression?

Impression is equal to credit. Every time one of your banners are displayed on our exchange, you have just generated an impression. If you have 1000 credits, then that means that you have at least 1000 impressions available for your banner.

What is a click-thru reward?

Click-thru rewards are for members who have placed an HTML code into their Web page. Each time the Banner-Zone banner is clicked on, you generate a 2 credit reward in addition to the 1 credit you received for displaying a members banners on your Web page.

Do I have to place the banner at the top?

Banner placement on your Web site has a direct impact on the amount of click-thru rewards and hits you can generate. Banner-Zone requires that you place the banner code at the top or close to it of your Web page.

What is CTR and CTP?

Click-Thru Ratio(CTR) and Click-thru Percent(CTP) are both measures of how well your banner is performing on our exchange. For example: Lets say your banner had 100 impressions (shown on other members pages) and had 5 click-thrus (5 different people click on your banner and were pulled to your Web page). Your CTR would be 20:1 or 100 impressions / 5 click-thrus. Your CPR would be 5% or 5 click-thrus / 100 impressions. They are actually the same measure, but one is a ratio and the other is a percentage. Any banner with 1% CTP is considered acceptable and should not be changed. Any banner with 0.5% CTPs should probably be changed.

What is HTML Code, and where do I get it?

The HTML code is a couple of lines of text that when you insert it into your Web site runs when people are pulling up your site. This little bit of programming code allows Banner-Zone Banner Exchange the availability to display banners on your site. You can generate this HTML code by selecting "Get HTML Code"  option from our control panel.

How do I insert the HTML code into my Web page?

There are many different ways to insert HTML code into your Web page, but the easiest would be to use a text editor and then cut the code generated from our control panel and then paste it back into your Web page. After that save and publish your page and your all done. If you are using software to generate your Web page you can also paste the code into the page, however, you may need more help so please feel free to email us with any questions you may have. E-mail support@banner-zone.net

How long does it take to set up a new banner?

Banner-Zone staff will have reviewed all new banner uploads within a 24 hour time period. There may be some exceptions, but our AUP policies controll part of this process and since we adhere to strict rules we must ensure that the guidelines are meet. This not only protects you but it also protects Banner-Zone.

How do I submit my banner to Banner-Zone?

If you are a member, you can add your banner through our control panel. Banner-Zone does not upload your banner to our server. You will provide the URL to your banner in our control panel. This method allows you to have as many banners as you desire.

Can I have more then one banner under my account?

The Banner-Zoned HTML code isn't working. Am I doing something wrong?

The code works. The most frequent problem is that it gets corrupted somewhere between Cut and Paste. Try grabbing the code again. If you still can't get it to work, try viewing the source code ("view" and then "source" in MS Internet Explorer) of the web page our code is on. Compare it with what we gave you. Some html editors and word processors like to discombobulate certain symbols so try to always use a simple editor like notepad when adding scripts to your web site.

This is what the HTML code should look like.   XX is the account ID
