A Banner Exchange is a great way to get traffic to your site. In return for showing other banners on your site, you earn the right to show your banner on another site in the exchange. For each time you show another banner on your site, you earn credits, which are redeemed for exposure on another site in the exchange.

Accounts can be set up in seconds! Click the Sign Up link to the left and sign up for an account. Once you are signed up, you can begin earning exposures immediately, but the Exchange Administrators must first validate your account before you can begin redeeming exposures.

Categories are a great way to insure visitors on your site get banners that are appropriate for the content. Each account can define one category that best describes its content. Most websites these days really would fall under multiple categories, so choose the best one for your site.

You can also display banners for only a specific category on your page. The Get HTML page in your Control Panel contains details for doing this.

This is so we can insure your site meets the content standards of the Exchange. This insures that all sites in the exchange meet the scope of the exchange.

Banner-Zone Exchange is where members allow advertising banners to be displayed on their Web pages, while their advertising banners will be displayed on other members Web sites. For every banner shown on your site, you earn one credit. For every credit you have, your banner will be shown on the exchange.

You should join so that you can find customers and build your traffic through FREE advertising on a variety of websites. Most other banner exchange programs allow you to use one banner at a time. We know ads do better if there is a variety, so we allow you multiple banners. When your banner is about to be displayed, our program selects one of your multiple banners at random to be displayed. There is no need to download any special software. Our server handles everything for you. Including real time stats.

You have to have a Web site that is up and running. Then you need a 468x60 pixel GIF image your advertising banner. If you do not have your banner image ready you can still join and allow other banners to be displayed on your site.
[Top]

A banner is a 468x60 pixel GIF image. For example see the one at the top of this Web page. If you do not have a banner you can create one using any type of graphical programs. You should place your advertising message on your banner for example "Click here to purchase my products", as well as anything that would set your banner apart from the crowd. Using animation or cool images along with other techniques helps a lot.

All banners in the exchange are reviewed by our staff to ensure that they are appropriate for general audiences. We do not accept any advertisements for adult material. Banners and Web sites must not contain nudity, partial nudity, violence, vulgar language, or links to adult sites. Banners cannot imply a link to an adult content site. We have strict company policies on this issue and we deny or cancel member account if we feel they have violated our acceptable use policy.

A credit is earned either by showing one banner on your site or by purchasing credits from Banner-Zone Your credits represents the number of times your banner will be displayed on other members Web pages. 1 credit is worth 1 impression on our banner exchange.
[Top]

Impression is equal to credit. Every time one of your banners are displayed on our exchange, you have just generated an impression. If you have 1000 credits, then that means that you have at least 1000 impressions available for your banner.
[Top]

Click-thru rewards are for members who have placed an HTML code into their Web page. Each time the Banner-Zone banner is clicked on, you generate a 2 credit reward in addition to the 1 credit you received for displaying a members banners on your Web page.
[Top]

Banner placement on your Web site has a direct impact on the amount of click-thru rewards and hits you can generate. Banner-Zone requires that you place the banner code at the top or close to it of your Web page.

Click-Thru Ratio(CTR) and Click-thru Percent(CTP) are both measures of how well your banner is performing on our exchange. For example: Lets say your banner had 100 impressions (shown on other members pages) and had 5 click-thrus (5 different people click on your banner and were pulled to your Web page). Your CTR would be 20:1 or 100 impressions / 5 click-thrus. Your CPR would be 5% or 5 click-thrus / 100 impressions. They are actually the same measure, but one is a ratio and the other is a percentage. Any banner with 1% CTP is considered acceptable and should not be changed. Any banner with 0.5% CTPs should probably be changed.

The HTML code is a couple of lines of text that when you insert it into your Web site runs when people are pulling up your site. This little bit of programming code allows Banner-Zone Banner Exchange the availability to display banners on your site. You can generate this HTML code by selecting "Get HTML Code" option from our control panel.
[Top]

There are many different ways to insert HTML code into your Web page, but the easiest would be to use a text editor and then cut the code generated from our control panel and then paste it back into your Web page. After that save and publish your page and your all done. If you are using software to generate your Web page you can also paste the code into the page, however, you may need more help so please feel free to email us with any questions you may have.
